Welcome back to the new academic year. Maple Class (Year 6 Class) will be sharing in Collective Worship this Friday at 8.55am.

Class 4

Hi, my name is Miss Stanwix and I'm the class teacher in class 4! This is my second year as teacher and I am thoroughly enjoying being part of the friendly and welcoming community at Topcliffe C of E Primary School.

I have a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and I am a keen netball player. I have always been interested in sport, playing, watching and learning about, as this is a passion of mine which I was encouraged in as a child. Therefore, I try and encourage all the children I come into contact with to follow their passions too.

This half term we will be looking at instructions and explanation texts in literacy, place value and knowledge of number in maths and our topic will be focused on farming through the ages! During PE we are beginning to improve our skills in team invasion games and looking at comparing our performance with elite performers. Science will be focused on living things and their habitats and specifically, classification of living things.

Please feel free to pop in any time you want - my door is always open!
